Reseña del libro "Consider the Lilies: The Near Death Experience of a Reluctant Prophet (en Inglés)"

Was it fate - or an act of God ... Perhaps it was the latter, because it all began in a burning pond full of lilies. Mason Conquest was a typical 16 year-old Beverly Hills spoiled brat of the lowest quality. Rebellious to the core, he decided one night to take his father's Ferrari out for a joy ride without consent. Now drunk to the point of near stupor, he steals his dad's exotic and races into the winding hills of the Southern California mountains of Santa Monica. It is here that he nearly rams into an on-coming car. Unbeknownst to his father, Mason plunges into a deep pond filled with flowers where the exploding fuel tank catches fire, inundating the water's surface into smoldering flames. At the same time, the steering airbag burst, pinning him down as the car rapidly submerges below the inferno above. Now twenty feet under while fading into death, he looks up one last time and sees the silhouette of a person swimming through the fire. He realizes at that moment someone is risking their life to save his! Nine years later, he awakens from a coma where he learns that he not only "died" more than once, but came back several times into mortality over that period. What he gradually begins to comprehend are his new abilities he inherited after his fatal accident. These included his uncanny talent of reading others emotions, thoughts and even their prayers. But it didn't stop there. At that point, he gradually understands that he has a new calling... He also must find out who would exchange there life for his. His spiritual epiphany awakened him with the knowledge that he has a message for the world. But it wouldn't be easy as he was reluctant to tell his story of what he learned while on the "other side," Mason goes through this remarkable journey of personal growth where he uncovers not only who we really are as individuals, but also collectively as the human race...and what we can become...if anyone will listen. Based on scores of interviews, published papers and hundreds of books of those who had what scientists call NDE's or Near Death Experieces, Consider the Lilies is a novel that summarizes this research into story form. It is about how one man saw in vivid visions the future of our nation after passing from this life to the next...and what lies beyond the mysterious veil we call "death." One of the most frightening, uplifting and enlightening books you will ever read, this work will have you turning the pages to its very surprising end... ...remembering that it all began because a car crashed in a pond full of lilies. About the Author: Eric O'Donovan has written several dozen non-fiction books, 170 papers, speaks on over 30 topics and is finishing his third degree.
