Exploring the Kingdom of God Together: a Devotional Journey for Small Groups (en Inglés)
Reseña del libro "Exploring the Kingdom of God Together: a Devotional Journey for Small Groups (en Inglés)"
John the Baptist burst onto life's stage shouting, "Repent! For the Kingdom of God is at hand." Jesus entered soon thereafter, proclaiming the same message. But what exactly is the Kingdom of God, and why does it require repentance? Years later, as they spread the good news of the Kingdom of God across the Roman Empire, Paul and Silas visited Thessalonica. Upon arrival, a large mob came looking for them, declaring, "These men who have turned the whole world upside down have come here also" (Acts 17:6). What was it about the message of the Kingdom of God that turned the whole world upside down? Was the "Kingdom of God" talk only applicable to those original first century hearers? Or is it relevant for you and me, here and now? Gather some friends and, together, embark on a seven week exploration of the Bible's central theme, the Kingdom of God. This book is a modified version of Kingdom of God: A Lenten Devotional designed for small group, seven week, journey. The first week serves as an introduction with questions to generate conversation and provide starting point for the journey. Following the introduction, the book contains six weeks of short daily devotions plus weekly small group questions corresponding with the previous weeks' six devotions. Coming Fall 2018, weekly 5-7 minute videos will be available (free on the author's website) to enhance the Exploration of the Kingdom of God Together.
