Reseña del libro "Lionfish P. volitans (Scorpaenidae) on the coast of Holguin, Cuba"
The lionfish (Pterois volitans) is a reef species that has established itself rapidly throughout the western Atlantic. It was registered for the first time in Cuba in 2007, an invasive species causing great damage to native ichthyological communities in different regions of the world. For this reason, the present book was written to address the distribution and abundance of lionfish at different times of the year, sampling sites and years in Holguín, Cuba. Its association with native ichthyological species of the region was analyzed. Some morphometric parameters and trophic preferences of this species were determined. Establishing its reproductive biology and parasitology in addition to all the environmental education actions carried out from 2012 to 2018.
