Reseña del libro "Mrs. Bennet Troublemaker (en Inglés)"
In Mrs. Bennet Troublemaker are four short stories about the Bennet family and how Mrs. Bennet treats her second eldest daughter. In 'Elizabeth's Champions', Mr. Darcy insults not only Elizabeth Bennet but also her sister Mary. Mary is upset because of the insult not for her own sake but for her sister's. She gathers the courage to speak to the man and chastise him for his offense of insulting not only her but her sister. Mr. Darcy later thinks of the girl as Elizabeth's champion and as the story progresses Elizabeth finds she has more than the one champion, when Mr. Darcy rescues her from an attack from Mrs. Bennet. How do all the champions affect her life and that of her family? In the story, 'The Problems with Anger' Mrs. Bennte reacts with anger when her daughter Elizabeth refused Mr. Collin's, her husband's heir, proposal of marriage. Indeed, her reaction caused harm to Elizabeth and even unto herself. This also changes the life of another one would not have expected to be affected by it. Also there was two witnesses to the attack, one being Mr. Darcy and the other being Mr. Collins. What did each do in Elizabeth's hour of need? In 'Elizabeth Banished, Mrs. Bennet orders Elizabeth to leave Longbourn after she refused Mr. Collin's proposal. Elizabeth had to leave the next morning having packed her trunk, bandbox and valise. She was taken away in donkey cart and left at an intersection five miles from Meryton. There she sat at the busy highway and tried to think what to do because he she could not carry her trunk to the nearest town, another two miles away. Who comes to her rescue and what does Mr. Bennet do when he find out what his wife had done? How does this issue affect the rest of the family? In 'Elizabeth's Distress', we find her facing a problem caused by the marriage of Mr. Wickham and Lydia Bennet, Elizabeth's youngest sister. Mrs. Bennet had taken all of Elizabeth's gowns but four of them and gave them to Lydia since Mr. Bennet refused to purchase the girl any after her marriage. Elizabeth was so upset by it that she packed the rest of her belongings in two valises and left to go to her friend in Shardlaw in Derbyshire to stay there for she could not bear being at Longbourn any longer. At the same time, Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy had determined to go to her to try and reconcile with her after bumpy earlier relationship. Does he find her and what happens to Mrs. Bennet for taking what belonged to Elizabeth?
