Mount Gerizim plays a prominent role in the lives of the Patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; is the place described in the Torah as the Mountain of Blessing; and was part of the inheritance of Jacob's favored son Jospeh. Samaritan High Priest Amram son of Isaac lays out their claim that it is "The One True Sanctuary."
