A strange slit-eyed creature sketched on a concealed recess within a wall, a fiery Victorian Evangelist with a peculiar musical obsession and a handbell with a dangerous secret are just a few of the mysteries the children encounter.None of them guess their Community Project will lead to a series of adventures involving a lost Egyptian temple, a band of Chinese warrior-monks and a Stone Age tribe with a meteorite that possesses special powers. These and other strange adventures ensnare them deeper and deeper in a dark and dangerous web of mystery which extends far across time and place - and will lead to death if they fail in their quest.
