Butch is in the batter's box for the State Championship baseball game when the pitcher throws a fastball right at his head! Justin, Grace, Wayne and Becky take Newton home to Lake Tear of the Clouds. Going for a swim with Newton, Wayne gets trapped under a log in the fast moving brook. Becky cannot free him but, she sees two friends coming and hopes they can! And, is the longstanding Rule of Only Two going to be broken? Will Fred and Edie ever see their son Newton again? All these questions can be answered in the pages of Book Four.
