Reseña del libro "The Survival of The Chinese Girls in America"
In this book, the author dramatically describes the dilemma and dramas of the seven Chinese girls who tried to survive in USA in a vivid and humorous writing style. Through the main characters of the book, the author presents the readers with the struggles and phenomenal stories of the Chinese girls who are like the seven orient flowers transplanted from east(China) to the west (America). Because of their different traits and characteristics, they treated their life differently with different outlook and as a result, they had different endings... In the first story, the main character Joanna tried all means to stay in the United States, the dreamland of a lot of Chinese immigrants. After exhausting her ways, she got nowhere and became so desperate and depressed that she almost killed herself in a car accident which led her to a Bells's Palsy. Finally, she grasped the last straw----a white bum who was homeless and found by the narrator on the streets and got married with him, heading towards the American dream...
