It's fun to learn that people once used Tulip Bulbs as money and some live in boats on the canals.There are canals everywhere, so they take a boat tour. Art is very important in the city and some of the best and most famous painters lived there - Rembrandt, Vermeer and Van Gogh. There are wonderful Museums. The kids and their parents learn a lot reading the book, including the fact that the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) in the Caribbean are part of The Netherlands. It's a fun way to learn about an interesting and historic city and country.
