It proves, however, that even in the face of unbearable circumstances, purity, good conscience and fear of God would not permit the denial of others their due in justice. The pressure of life forces man to prefer to come back to this world as a harmless sun bird because he would in good conscience not hurt others.The book portrays the Poet as an ardent traditionalist who does not pretend about his African beliefs in the spirit, potency and capacity of the dead to overturn the woes of the living. This is effectively conveyed in his simple poetic language, employing effectively, literary devices in the dispatch of his message.
