While these events can be fleeting, they provide us with sweet reminders that we have close ties to heaven. Moments when we feel enlightened, when "All the unrelated ends make sense", encourage us in our efforts to walk the path of faith, and let us know we are moving in the right direction (With the Tongue of Angels, A Few Fleeting Threads). Some of the poems weave well-known scriptural themes with her own experiences of divine intervention (7 Loaves, The Tempest).
